Home and Away!

Coming home from Sydney soon!

Gracious. It's been so long since I have blogged. I miss doing that. Sydney's a boring place, I was busy anyway but pictures to follow soon. Good to feel the Singapore heat on my back once again. It's been chilly and windy (I live across DarlingHarbour) and to make up for my love for heat, hotel room's temperature always at 28 degree Celsius. Yes, I am this mad. =P

Coaching Session on Self Discipline

Thank you for your opinion gals. I will bear that in mind on my next trip to United States/ somewhere that sells Coach bags at a cheaper price.
Alas, I did not buy any. Why? You may exclaim. Ah well, a combination of reasons. Firstly, like Xinyi, I have been trying to make a conscious effort on my part to stop purchasing Monogrammed stuff. I would like unstated chic that doesn't make me an advertising reinforcement for my counterparts. --This is really hard to do, but I will try.
Next, I decided that the patchwork series, though unique, may look dated after some time. Just as I had settled my heart on this medium Carly Signature bag, the shop assistant told me that they do not carry the Brown strap models in their store. So, there. I walked away with only purchases for Nana and Esther. I am so proud of the self discipline I displayed in resisting this temptation.
My sole satisfaction? Your joy upon receiving your bags. It made the effort of lugging them back in pretty gift boxes worthwhile!
Hugs & Kisses,
Ivy.

Take a Coach from US

Aileen and I always thought the Coach is a dowdy brand, usually for the aunties. But Nana just makes it so cool that I am caving in.
Can anyone tell me which one is nice?

Holiday Patchwork Gallery Tote

Fall Patchwork Carly (Exotic Skin)

Fall Patchwork Gallery Tote (Exotic Skin)

I just thought that a design that's not from their classic signature range will look more unique. But Nana, I love your Ergo's choice. No no, I cannot be tempted further! >.<

Stuck in CT-Stamford

Fate has it that I will not be heading to NY for this trip. A little too tight and there are just too many things to wrap up. A half day trip there would defeat the purpose of trying to squeeze in a little breather for the week. So no, I will be taking a road trip several years down the road to cover some part of the US of A at my own leisure.

The comforting thing is that I finally get to TRY on my Forever 21 clothes instead of ordering them over the internet and adopting the 'keep my fingers crossed' approach to online shopping. Here are 3 pieces I bought:
1. Chiffon Cocktail Dress (I bought the Cream coloured version which exudes a Grecian feel)
2. Cheetah Halter Dress (a little outrageous I know, will figure out how to keep the level of exposure to a minimum)
3. The Brilliant Buy (Uptown Sleeveless Chiffon Dress @ 10.50 USD)

Random Thoughts

Inspired by Jenn to pen one of my own.

1. What the F@*K am I doing up so late when I need to be up by 7am later?
2. I need to book my massage session instead of just thinking about it.
3. Contrary to popular belief, traveling is no fun. Not to the US when the main agenda is a far cry from fun.
4. I seriously think I am burnt out—I hope it’s psychological and I can sleep it away during the flight.
5. One part of me envies gals who get good apparel bargains—but I simply spend my moolah on higher end, better quality stuff unconsciously. Shucks.
6. I want real office space, a private room. Not cubicles, even though they may be spacious and all.
7. There are packages for dearies like Jenn & Vivien waiting to be post out but they’re still lying around, because they lack my personal letter. Grief. I need a kick in the butt.
8. How come I haven’t bought an MP3/4 player? Still deliberating over Sony, Samsung or Apple.
9. Who’s going to the money changer to get my Aussie dollar?
10. Christmas sets will be launched by the dozen. Resistance is futile. But overstocking is bad.
