Colour Me Beautiful

After missing out on MAC’s Manish Arora Eye Palette collection—which is considered the beauty stash loss of the year, Shu Uemura’s Mika Ninagawa Holiday Collection 2008 is something not to be missed.

A comparison of Shu Uemura's Palette (upper) and MAC's Palette Shades (lower)

I am looking at the beautiful eye colour palette offerings. Although the Adorned Marguerite combination is the one I will get, I can’t keep my eyes off the other two-namely Midnight Winter Sakura and Secret Luscious Rose.

But like what the economic figures reveal, it’s a time of needs not wants that should be driving purchases in recent times. I can’t practice that though but all I can say is “Moderation is the key”. =P

Longing for Longchamp

Ha! It appears that when I am idle, fashion holds me intrigued.
This is when I know that I am partial towards fashion than towards makeup. I guess Jenn and I would complement each other very well if we were to start a blog together! She's the makeup maestro and I shall be the fashion reporter.

Of course, the following write-up is 2 seasons too late and I shall blame it on work and leisure lack thereof.

Longchamp Le Pliage Bande Dessinee tote:
The concept behind Dutch photographer and fashion illustrator Robert Wagt's original illustrations for Longchamp is a comic strip about the life of a fashion victim visiting Paris, New York and St Tropez.
I think it gives the plain Le Pliage series some "oomph" factor. The classic version is a tad overpriced.

Prancing in Prada-licious Lace

I always thought lace makes mature ladies out of girls. Sometimes they are too tacky, other times they are plain grandma-ish.

But when I set my eyes on Miuccia Prada's Fall Collection, I grasped. My attention was riveted. How can something be so beautifully elegant when it's see through?

It's worthy of a classic.
Thing is I don't think I can afford to own/ willing to splurge on this. I am sure lace is going to take this season by storm and soon, mere mortals with a modest pay check can own a respectably pretty lace dress too!
