Of Boys and Girls

I remembered enjoying the movie CJ7 (a boy meets alien movie) tremendously. However, like many viewers, I was duped into thinking the lead character was played by a real boy. Alas, it's a girl.
It's a little mind boggling that her act and image was so convincing that she literally pulled wool over our eyes.

I always have this desire to try looking like a boy---for a couple of days. I wonder how I will look. Hm...

International Women's Day

Happy International Women's Day 2009. On a random note, I was returning home tonight when I saw 2 little puppies playing with each other while taken on a walk. As they were frolicking on the grass patch, a cat watched on unblinkingly. The owner threatened to leave them behind by turning to walk away and the dimunitive pups ran hastily to follow suit. The still cat ogled on till they disappeared out of sight before rousing from its reverie.
I felt a sudden pang of sadness for the stray creature and wondered if it too entertained the notion of 'what if'.
'What if it has a place to call home rather than roam the streets?'. 'What if it belonged to someone?'
I have never contemplated whether cats which love freedom cared for a sense of belonging but on this windless cool evening, I could almost feel that they mind their rootless existence in the neighbourhood.

The Perfect Evening

Just yesterday, a highly acclaimed drama sequel 'Perfect Cut 2' started its run on Singapore free to air Channel U.
I like the first series and with the 2nd installment receiving rave reviews, I awaited with bated breath to catch it on television.
This series is more graphic (think close up shots in the OT) and with the introduction of Edmund Chen who plays a character I can totally identify with, I am giving it the thumbs up sign.

Coincidentally, a couple of hours prior to watching the debut episode, I was at the venue where most of the clinic scenes took place.

Bamboo Grove @ The Landscape Garden

Garden Cafe

Strange mushrooms in the clinic's 'backyard'

Up Close

Under Construction

I wonder what are they building?

If this is a residential site, I want to buy the property here!
