A Good Day

Click comic to for an enlarged view...

Today is a good day. I cleared everything for the week and for a moment, there’s a sense of emptiness. It’s been work, work and more work to date and suddenly, bam wham! Nothing. All done. It’s been the only day to date when there’s absolutely not a single thing to do for an entire span of 5 hours.
I can hear the crickets calling in the background. My stress level high rockets and I think I am getting withdrawal symptoms.
How can work ever BE completed? I am missing something?
As I busied myself with finding something constructive to occupy my idle mind, it dawned upon me that I have temporarily lost the ability to slack. Simply put, I have forgotten how to rest and relax.
I needed to be re-conditioned to do so. Weekends are no longer R&R days. In fact, I work harder on weekends. Gracious. Time to zone out and to revert back to things I enjoy outside work-i.e. blogging.
Cheerios guys!

It's about time! Long time no blog eh? :)

You remind me of my early career life. Soon you will seek the balance (I hope!). If you find it difficult to fill up your spare time with non-work related activities, you are officially a workaholic :)
